General description : 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback 352 V8 Four Speed Power Steering Disc Brakes
Here we have a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 for sale. This two door fastback is done in the factory color combination and offers the 352 V8 with the Four Speed Trans. When you walk around you will notice the body is all solid and in great condition. This two-door fastback body style has some amazing bodylines on it that flow beautifully from the front to the rear. With the hardtop style it has an awesome look with the windows down, speaking of the windows, all the glass in this '66 is in excellent condition along with the seals. The body is covered in the factory Emberglo Metallic paint which has a gorgeous shine. It's accented by the iconic chrome and stainless package of the mid 60's. Both bumpers are in great condition along with the rocker trim and side trim which all lines up excellent as well. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on a custom set of 18” and 20” Billet Specialty Wheels.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '66. On the inside it's done in Parchment which is also the factory option for it. The door panels are in great condition along with their trim and handles. The seat covers have been redone and feature the two-tone color combination. Also, the carpet and headliner are great condition. Looking at the dash you can see that the gauges are very nice along with the wood grain accents and dash pad. It does have a Sunpro tach added to the column along with under the dash Oil PSI and Temp gauges. The factory radio remains in the dash and a CD player was added under the dash. It has the factory style steering wheel and in the trunk, it has the trunk mat and spare.
Next, we will look at the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood it's powered by the 352 V8 engine that's mated to the Four Speed Trans and goes out back to the 9” Rear End with around a 3.00 gear. The engine is set up with an Edelbrock Intake and Dual Line Holley Carb. It's dressed with the Polished Valve Covers and Air Cleaner with the 352 Call Out. The firewall and inner fenders all look excellent in this '66. You'll also notice that it comes with Power Steering and Standard Brakes with Disc on the front. For exhaust it has headers with dual pipes and Dynomax Mufflers. When you look under it you can see that the floors and frame all look to be in great condition. You will also notice that new bushings and ball joints have been installed under the front to insure not only a great looking car but also one that drives great as well.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
