Technisch aber war der Flavia futuristisch und nahm er es sogar mit Ferrari auf. ,,Wie schön ist es doch, mit einem schnellen Wagen der Avantgarde zu fahren, in dem nichts klappert und alles funktioniert!", freuten sich vor 60 Jahren Fachjournalisten über den neu vorgestellten Lancia Flavia. Qualität und Technik vom Feinsten ohne Rücksicht auf Kosten zeichneten Lancia schon immer aus, ein Umstand der bedauerlicherweise zu Lancia's Niedergang führte. Welches Automobilwerk konnte es sich schon leisten drei Stardesigner zu engangieren? Pininfarina zeichnete für den Flavia ein Coupé , das die Linien des Ferrari 250 GT adaptierte, Zagato kreierte die eigenwillig konstruierte Motorsportversion Flavia Sport und ein verführerisches Flavia Cabriolet kam von Vignale. Trotzdem umgab alle Flavia ein Hauch von Tragik. Waren sie doch die letzten aus dem Vollen gefrästen großen Lancia, mit denen Chefkonstrukteur Antonio Fessia und der neue Lancia-Mehrheitseigner Carlo Pesenti vergeblich auf die Rückkehr goldener Zeiten für den vormals zweitgrößten italienischen Hersteller hofften. Unzählige genial kreative und entsprechend kostspielige Details machten die Flavia Modellfamilie einzigartig, leisten wollten sich diese automobilen Diamanten aber nur Lancisti und leider viel zu wenige Kunden anderer Marken. Vier Scheibenbremsen mit zwei Bremskreisen und Bremskraftverstärker bot jedoch keiner der Lancia-Konkurrenten. Flavias geteilte Lenksäule und Fixpunkte für Sicherheitsgurte waren progressiv, jener unvergleichlich satte Ton der schließenden Türen fand sich nicht einmal bei Rolls-Royce, gar nicht zu reden von den roten Warnleuchten in den extra weit öffnenden Portalen. Ebenso zukunftsweisend war der neu entwickelte Boxermotor in Verbindung mit einem Frontantrieb des Technik versessenen Antonio Fessia.Fahrzeug Historie Unsere Lancia Flavia 1.8 Iniezione wurde in der Schweiz erstausgeliefert. Nur zwei Schweizer Besitzer konnten wir ermittlen, Seit 1998 war dann die Flavia abgemeldet. Vor ein paar Jahren haben wir dieses Fahrzeug entdeckt und liebevoll und detaillgetreu wieder in Schuß bebracht, Standschäden beseitigt, einen Teil des prächtigen Chromschmuckes wieder neu verchromt, die Felgen restauriert, den Unterboden freigelegt, repariert und wieder versiegelt und vieles mehr.Nun steht dieser Lancia wieder äusserst präsentabel da und wartet auf seinen neuen Besitzer, der an der Aura, der vorzüglichen Technik, der grandiosen Farbkombination und dem hinreissenden Design genauso viel Freude hat, wie wir. Das Lackbild der originalen Auslieferungsfarbe Blue Lancia ist ohne Fehl und Tadel, das originale rote Kunstlederinterieur leicht patiniert und fast makellos.Der Motor und seine Nebenaggregate werden von uns vor Auslieferung noch inspektioniert, so daß eine ungetrübte Fahrfreude mit diesem sehr sportlichen und komfartablen Coupé garantiert wird.
