Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1954 Lincoln Capri! Lincoln unveiled the Capri for the 1952 model year and it replaced the Cosmopolitan as their Premier Luxury car. The Capri name was derived from the Italian island of the Gulf of Naples. The Capri would see 3 generations up until 1959. Here we have a 1954 model, but this one is far from its original standing. The paint looks striking and was done by Jeff Nichelson. Its a Black Base, then Red Pearl, and then Red Kandy, all PPG. It really commands your attention. As you walk around it you can quickly tell so much custom work has gone into this ride. The great Gene Winfield help start this build off back in the early 2000s! She started life as a 4-door sedan and been converted to a 2-door Hardtop! Speaking of tops, the top has been chopped 5 ½ inches! '55 Cadillac Headlamps were sectioned into the front fender, is sporting a '55 Lincoln Grill and '56 Packard taillights were chosen. Ford Aerostar springs lowered her down in the front and the rear is dropped 4" with blocks. Inside the '64 Oldsmobile lipstick red leather interior contrasts well with the exterior, looks sharp and is in nice shape. Once your eyes move past the seats you can't help but notice the skull sitting atop a Torque Wrench Shifter. She has a custom-made console, Bluetooth Stereo in Dash, and Custom Upholstered Trunk. Under the hood is a 302ci V8 backed by a C6 Automatic Transmission. The odometer is inoperable. Current owner has had her for over 20 years, acquired from a private owner. This Lincoln is known at many shows and is nicknamed "Betty." Per the owner, Betty, has won the James Dean Award every time she was entered. She won several times at Custom Car Revival. The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! If you want a highly customized classic that is certain to turn heads anywhere you take it, Betty, deserves your consideration! Betty's Options include: Leather Interior, AM/FM/CD Radio, Hub Caps, and White Wall Radial Tires. About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
