General description : This is a true original "code A" Presidential Black 61 Lincoln Continental with the rare grey trim code 21 that runs, drives and brakes great. $6K in recent repairs to include a rebuilt rear end, new radiator, water pump, starter motor, battery, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater hoses, fan belts, air filter, fuel filter, brake light switch, thermostat, rear brake lines, valve cover gaskets, hood insulation and a fresh oil change and oil filter. The interior received a new headliner, carpeting and replaced and refinished seats and all 4 original Lincoln rubber floor mats. The dash has some cracks, but the door panels, original wood inserts and chrome are in really nice shape, it even has the original door panel carpeting!! All four-windows work from all switches. The 6-way power seat, horn, radio, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, door lights, overhead light, headlights, high beam, rear lights, brake lights light and turn signals are all working!!! The trunk still has the original trunk liner, spare tire cover and jack!! The car was repainted the original code A Presidential Black many years ago, but the paint is faded mostly on the hood and trunk areas. The passenger side body and paint is in remarkably nice shape with a beautiful shine, I suspect it was not exposed to the sun as much as the rest of the car. The under carriage and floor boards are in excellent shape and solid. The exhaust, mufflers and resonators are all in good condition. Runs and drives very well, the engine is quiet, the transmission shifts well and the steering and braking are very smooth.

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
