Under the hood, the Z8 is powered by a robust 4.9-liter V8 that fires instantly and generates the same muscular exhaust burble that we enjoyed on the M5, except that the volume is higher when you lower the convertible top. Delivering an exhilarating 400 horsepower through the aid of a manual six-speed transmission, the Z8 puts down a seriously quick 4.5 second 0-60mph time. Acceleration is nothing short of effortless.
The interior of the Z8 is a masterclass in craftsmanship and attention to detail. Despite its homage to interiors of old, the Z8 layout works remarkably well. Bayerische Motoren Werke, allmänt känt som BMW, har en rik historia som sträcker sig tillbaka till grundandet 1916.
