Cadillac Coupe de Ville 500ci 1976

Allmän beskrivning : 1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille   SURVIVOR - 8,193 original miles DeVille started out as a trim level but once 1959 hit it became its own model with the series 6300.  DeVille comes from a French word meaning "of the town" which fits the car very well.  These were luxury cars meant to be taken out and shown off.  They were advertised as "America's favorite Luxury Car" and even today the Cadillac name carries with it a level of class.  You know they must be doing something right because although it was changed from DeVille to DTS in modern times these cars have been being produced for many many decades.  1976 marked the end of the 4th generation, was the only year to get the 500 c.i. motor and was the last of the full size body style.  This 76 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is a beautiful example of one of these cars and is a true survivor.  Whether you are a private collector or a museum owner looking for a special Cadillac this is definitely one to check out.  It has 8,193 original miles on it which averages out to around 190 miles a year.  That is quite the feat considering we are talking about a car that over 40 years old.  This nice Caddy is coated in the original Cream paint with a darker Tan Landau top.  It is in great shop from top to bottom.  It is really a special example of a car that has been preserved and cherished since new.  All of the chrome and stainless is in good condition with no pitting or issues.  The car has the short rear skirts and rides on its original wheels and hubcaps.  Those are wrapped with Yellow line Vogue Type tires which suit the car nicely.   As mentioned before this was the only year for the 500 cubic inch motor which this one is neatly packing under the hood.  The number of miles on the car starts to become really apparently when you look at things under the hood and underneath the car.  Vehicles naturally build up grime and oil over time because that is the nature of what they are.  You could eat off this air cleaner though!  Every thing is very clean and well preserved.  Backing up the motor is a 3 speed automatic transmission.  Being a luxury car you can bet Cadillac packed every feature available they could into the car.  This includes the power brakes, power steering, power windows, power locks, a power antenna and air conditioning.  All of that is working properly and it runs down the road well.  The current owner has actually gone through the car and fixed a lot of different components making sure it is ready for the road or to be put on display.  This includes new brake rotors, new shocks, new tires, a replaced muffler, new transmission filter, new oil filter, full service and rear end oil service.     The interior of the car has been just as well maintained.  There is very minor minimal wear on the Tan leather upholstery and it is really in good shape.  It has the split bench with armrest up front but an aftermarket center console was purchased to provide cup holders and some extra storage space.  Everything other than that console is all stock original and all in excellent condition.  It has all of the original wood accents and factory trim.  Sliding into this thing there is no doubting it was intended for comfort and luxury.  The interior is very spacious and very comfortable to ride in.  You younger car enthusiast may not notice it at first but this classic is even still sporting its original working 8 track player!  The current owners went out and purchased an 8 track storage box as well as 8 tracks which make for a very cool display and conversation piece at shows.  Those do come with the car as well as a shop manual and some receipts.  The trunk on the car is in just as great of shape as the rest and houses the original spare and jack.  If you are into Cadillacs and want one that looks like it was transported from 76 to 2019 then this is one to check out.  It really is a special car and low mileage ones like this just aren't around very much anymore.  This car has been SOLD!  Please check out our other ads!
