Cadillac Coupe de Ville 425 c.i. V8 1979

Allmän beskrivning : 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille As we all know "Cadillac" is a vehicle name always associated with luxury.  These high end American luxury cars were often packed with all the latest and greatest comforts of their time.  Coupe DeVille which started as a trim level became its own model in 1959 and was known as Cadillac's mainstream vehicle.  They have continued to be popular throughout the years and lasted 8 generations before being dropped in 2005.  The '79 Cadillac you see here belongs to the 5th generation which spanned from 1977 to 1984 after which Cadillac started using GMs new C body platform.  Cadillac called this generation the downsized DeVilles but standing next to this car you wouldn't believe it.  While it may have been downsized some the car still has that long Cadillac nose and floats down the road just like its predecessors.  This Caddy is a nice survivor car that has been a Southern car all its life.  It still wears its original Black paint and the body underneath appears to be solid and free of rust.  Paired with that Black paint is the padded half opera roof with its original "Coupe deVille" emblem and accent lights.  Lots of chrome and trim were still popular in this era and this one still is fitted with those large chrome bumpers and prominent grill.  It also has long White pinstripes running the length of the car.  It has tinted windows throughout and all of the glass is good.  Although fins had pretty much died out by this era it still pays homage to its ancestors with those thin tall taillights out back.  The car sits on a set of its original wheels with spoke hubcaps and thin white wall Hankook Optimo tires.  Sending this beauty gliding down the road is its original 425 c.i. V8 that has no problem getting this big car rolling.  It is surprising how powerful it really is.  It starts up quick and runs smoothly.  It features power brakes and power steering which makes it a very comfortable car to drive.  Everything under the hood looks factory original.  Paired with the motor is a TH400 3 speed automatic that shifts smoothly with no problems.    The interior of the car is done in a matching Black leather and is very spacious.  Don't let those two doors fool you because there is plenty of room to stretch out in the back bench seat.  The upholstery, door panels, carpet and headliner are all in good shape.  The car still has its original faux wood trim pieces throughout and are in good shape as well.  By this time all of the latest upgrades like AC/Heat, power windows, power seats, power locks, AM/FM radio, and cruise control were pretty standard items for Cadillac and you bet this one has them all.  The trunk of the car has Gray carpeting and a spare cover along with a jack and lug wrench. This is a nice original survivor level Cadillac that runs out very well and is being offered up for a very reasonable price.  This car has been SOLD! Please check out our other ads!
