The 1971-1978 Cadillac's were the epitome of the "land yachts" of the 1970's, with a wheelbase of 130 inches, an overall length of 230.7 inches, and featuring the biggest hood to ever be put on a car, supposedly weighing in at approximately 200 pounds! The hood is almost long enough to land a Boeing 747! Underneath that huge hood is the monstrous 472 CID V8 that the Deville was known for which is paired to an automatic transmission making this Cadillac is a very pleasurable car to drive.
