Simply Outstanding 1938 Chevrolet FA Master Coupe
New to our Fairfield showroom is this simply outstanding 1938 Chevrolet FA Master 2 Door Business Coupe with Guards Red exterior paint, a V-Butt windshield and a custom beige interior. It features a 350 cid LT1 Corvette V-8 engine under the fiberglass hood with a GM automatic transmission, a Ron Francis wiring harness, power windows, power front disc brakes, Flowmaster dual exhaust, remote trunk/door poppers, Vintage Air, fiberglass fenders and far too many more features to list. This amazing performance vehicle is in excellent condition as well and it even has its original 1938 Chevrolet owner’s manual.
Extensive Multi-Year Restoration Effort in Early 1990’s
The current owner of this 1938 Chevrolet FA Master Coupe purchased it back in 1992 and then had it go through a multi-year restoration that reached the high five-figure range. We literally have about five inches of receipts and everything for this amazing vehicle was top of the line, from the Heidts front suspension to the Halibrand style custom wheels to the Dakota digital dash and the fiberglass hood. Although this is an older build, it still looks great both inside and out with sensational curb appeal.
Additionally, this custom ’38 Chevy drives like a much newer vehicle in that it steers, rides, accelerates and brakes like a late model car. The sound through the dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers is exceptional as well, which is why this is easily one of the most complete builds we’ve seen this year. It would be equally at home at a local show, driving round town or cruising the California coastline.
Easily a “Best in Class” Candidate on Most Stages
Overall, this 1938 Chevrolet FA Master Business Coupe is in true investment grade condition and it is definitely one of the more prestigious builds we’ve seen in quite some time. It is certainly hard to put a price on a piece of artwork like this one, but the current ask is likely too conservative for such an amazing build.
