There's an awful lot to love in this 1971 Chevrolet C10 CST pickup, including the great color combination, serious big block power, and upgraded AC interior. If you've been searching for a do-it-all weekend warrior, this affordable custom should be your leading candidate.
This truck really has the look of a lot of quality investments. The glossy medium blue metallic paint looks quite nice in the sunshine. Plus, the white roof has an extra hint of premium with its two-tone appearance. A bright front bumper, smoothie wheel, and straight full-length trim give this the look of an impressive vintage pickup. There are even cool detail upgrades like the crystal-clear headlights, bow tie marker lights, and blue-dot taillights. These pickups are great because a big block fits so nicely in the engine bay. It's a period correct 402 cubic-inch V8 that has been upgraded for serious power. It now includes Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads, a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, ProComp intake, and Hedman headers that feed a throaty X-pipe dual exhaust. The fundamentals like the belts, hoses, and wires show this has been given good care, and the way the big V8 fires up reaffirms this quality. The TH400 three-speed transmission is good for its stout construction and easy automatic shifting, and this feeds a proper 12-bolt rear end. So it's not only powerful, but easy to drive, too. That's why you also have power steering, power brakes with front discs, wide Cooper Cobra tires, and the C10 desirable trilling arm rear suspension.
