The V8 is really a desirable LT1 motor from an earlier 1970s Stingray. Not only do you have added power from the performance motor, but also this inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. Plus, it exhales with power and authority as headers feed the dual exhaust. Best of all, the numbers matching four-speed manual transmission puts you in full control over the enhanced power package. This was fairly rare in 1979 with only 25% of corvettes receiving a manual. And these Corvettes are great for performance driving with the fully independent suspension, power steering, wide BF Goodrich T/As, and the four-wheel power disc brakes.
