This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad is a fresh fully restored example of THE ultimate motoring icon. If you want unmatched desirability, it helps to start here. After all, the Nomad was the most expensive and rarest Bel Air model in 1957. So its history is secured. But while all Nomads are classic car royalty, this one is the king. It was given a full multi-year restoration that was only completed a few months ago. And since there's less than 300 miles on this one, it retains the unmistakable look of an investment that rivals what other people pay for comfortable homes. You know they took the time to get everything right. The Machine Silver is a stunning color with such a smooth and brilliant finish that it gives this car its own gravity that lures people in for a closer look. There's cold-blowing air conditioning, and the modern R134a system was adapted to a rare factory A/C dash. And like any good custom classic, the best treats are reserved for the driver. You get an upgraded steering wheel that keeps the classic style but offers a better grip. Its mounted on a tilt column so you can get a clear view to the upgraded Classic Instruments gauges that fit in the factory housings.
While all you have to do is park this Nomad for the crowds to fall in love/lust with it, we also know you won't be able to resist lifting the hood. This Chevy's engine bay is filled with a legendary motor, but one much younger than most people will be expecting. It's a 5.7-liter fuel-injected LT1 V8. The motor was rebuilt for added power, and Forge Speed did the final tuning to an estimated 300+ horsepower. It has an amazing presentation with smooth inner walls, carefully hidden wires, custom Nomad engine covers, and the block was even painted to match the red interior. As stunning as this all looks, it was also built to be a driver. That's why you have a four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive, power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, sway bars front & rear, and an overall comfy ride that comes well-sourced fresh components. The undercarriage photos show you that this was a thoughtful build, right down to the polished and stainless bolts. Even the frame was made to show off with its painted and smoothed presentation. So you may install a lift in your garage just to show off this level of detail.
