They were an instant success with over 13000 units sold. The engine was of course the big draw with the big block producing 230 HP with a tire shredding 385 lb.-ft of torque. This black beauty is an original 454 SS that has been well taken care of and has recently underwent a full frame off restoration. The original engine is still in place along with the TH400 transmission, which shifts easily through the gears. The Rear-end on the truck is still the 14 Bolt with the 5-lug bolt pattern. The Black paint is slick and shows extremely well with the addition of a red outlined Chevrolet symbol, which really pops and stands out from the black paint. Inside the cab you will find much of the original interior, including dash, cloth trim, & 454 SS floor mats. However, the seats have been upgraded to some comfortable black leather and flow very well with the look of the vehicle.
