Dodge Brothers Company, som grundades av Horace och John Dodge år 1900, till en början producerade komponenter för biltillverkarna. 1914 klev de in i biltillverkning vid införandet fyrcylindriga Dodge Modell 30 med stålkaross och 12v elsystem.
