Beautiful paint, a comfy A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and a powerful stroker V8: this 1958 Ford Ranchero is distinction and muscle in one terrific package.
This is the pickup with terrific style lines. It's like a square Thunderbird with a truck bed. We love the design cues from this model like the flat front that looks even wider thanks to the quad headlights. But while the metal is vintage, you can also see this one has been given a solid investment to mix in a modern look to the classic style. The paint you can't take our eyes off is recent application of Brilliant Red. The exceptional gloss and shine means it has enough radiance to forego some of the large trim pieces seen on these Rancheros. Not only does that help with a more modern/custom look, but also it means you really take notice of the remaining brightwork. That's why there was also an investment making sure pieces like the bumpers, headlight bezels, and grille shine like mirrors. And everything from the classic faux hood scoop to the modern double five-spoke alloys get you ready for the performance within (more on that in a moment.)
Inside there are even more investments in modern style. The leather bucket seats with an armrest center console is a far nicer setup than anything the factory gave you in '58. The tan looks great against the red exterior, and you know that, because the sleek dash has been painted to match the outside. You'll also notice other upgrades in the dash, like the AM/FM/CD stereo and Vintage Air air conditioning with automatic climate control. Plus, the sports steering wheel on the polished tilt column, AutoMeter Pro-Comp gauges, and the B&M shifter get you ready for something nice under the hood.
Putting Chevy power in a Ford is a no-brainer when you have a motor like this. It's a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8 that has been upgraded with aluminum heads, a four-barrel carburetor, electric fans, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. Plus, shorty headers add even more power while contributing to the sweet rumble of the dual exhaust. This is a great package that you're going to want to show off everywhere, and that's easy to do with features like the three-speed automatic transmission. Plus, the upgraded four-wheel disc brake package and modern Goodyear performance tires make this a sharp handling classic.
