Lincoln Club Coupe V12
This is a 1946 model and is in great condition, you can’t help but be impressed by the size of this vehicle and all that chrome.
Inspected (MOT/TUV) September 2018 and is fully road worthy, next inspection is due in 2022, every four years in Finland as it is registered as a museum vehicle.
It was restored for the first time in the USA in 1977, then at some point imported to Sweden where it had its current restoration spanning from 2010 to 2015. As you will see in the photos, it has been restored to a high standard. There is a photo album showing the restoration process.
To start it, you turn the key which allows the ignition switch to be pulled out to engage it. Then press the starter and the V12 spins to life. The car has a 6-volt system. V12 is silent at idle and is very smooth, it is coupled to a manual box with a “Three on the tree” steering column mounted gear sifter.
The front windows are hydro-electric, they are operated by a switch on the door and an electric motor runs a pump under the hood and operates the windows. They all work but the switches need to be replaced, we are currently looking for replacements. The rear windows pivot open on a vertical axis to provide through flow for the rear passengers.
