For sale in our Chicago showroom is a unique collectible that will ensure that you'll be the only one at the car show with this model. This 1927 Nash Model 333 Sedan is a finely restored example of a car that is rumored to be only one of two still operating in the United States out of 5,000 built. Originally assembled in Kenosha, Wisconsin, this Nash was titled as a 1927 but is actually a 1928 model. Purchased on June 29, 1927 for $1,215, the Nash rides on a 112 inch wheelbase and weighs 3,250 pounds. It is powered by its numbers-matching 278 CID OHV 6 cylinder engine, with a single ignition, 7 main bearings, putting out 52.1 horsepower and is stopped by its original mechanical brakes, which were recently readjusted. The car underwent a complete frame-off restoration in 2006 and has received several upgrades since. The entire six-volt electrical system, including the interior and engine compartment was rewired in 2013 and the distributor was recently rebuilt and recalibrated. The water pump and the Marvel Updraft carburetor were also rebuilt recently, and the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, as well as the exhaust pipe and mufflers, were replaced with accurate reproduction parts. The vacuum gasoline pump was replaced with an electric fuel pump with a pressure control valve and the gas tank has been relined and fuel lines replaced. This Nash still has its original walnut steering wheel and is operated by electrical advance and gasoline flow controls. The underside was recently steam cleaned and completely repainted with POR 15 black paint preservative. The exterior of the Nash is beautifully painted in deep midnight blue with black accent panels set off by white pinstripes. The interior is upholstered in the correct gray cloth and all the handles, latches, and hardware are polished to a high sheen and function well. The rubber on the floorboards is in great condition, as is the fabric on the roof. The car sits on 4 Silvertown Cord 5/50 x 20 whitewall tires with a matching spare; all were just fitted with new inner tubes. Other options include clock, 1927 Illinois license plates, renewal tags, luggage carrier, owner's manual, parts book, car cover, and many extra parts.
