Here we have a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass. This car has a stunning look that is coupled with some great driver options. When you walk around this car you can see that the body is rock solid with gorgeous body lines. Everything is covered in the Matador Red that's accented by the Black Stripes and the Black Vinyl Top. It features the W30 Hood along with the rear spoiler. The paint is done in base coat clear coat and has been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine that's slick as a ribbon. All the glass in this car is in excellent condition along with the seals and weather stripping. Looking at the chrome and stainless you'll notice that it all has a brilliant finish. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on a set of 15” Olds SS1 Wheels with Firestone White Letter Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '71. On the inside it's done in black which flows perfectly with the two tone exterior color combo. It features bucket seats and console that houses the Automatic shifter and has the wood grain accent that ties in perfectly with the door panels and dash. Looking at the dash it has the factory gauges that are working as they should. It also is a factory Air Condition car that is working as well. You'll notice the factory radio to keep the dash clean but it has been upgraded with a JVC CD player that's hid in the glove box. This Cutlass also comes with Power Door Locks and Power Windows that are all working as they should. All the seat covers are in excellent condition along with the carpet, headliner, and seal plates. In the trunk it has gorgeous detail and comes with the spare and jack.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Olds. Under the hood everything has been cleaned and detailed. It has looks like it would have when new and features the Matching Numbers 350 Rocket engine. The 350 engine is mated to the Matching numbers 350 Turbo Trans that goes out back to the 10 Bolt Rear end with around a 2.56 gear. For exhaust it has manifolds with dual pipes and turbo style mufflers. To go along with having factory A/C it also has Power Steering and Power Brakes. When you look under it you will notice all the ball joints and bushings are in great condition and that it has both front and rear sway bars. All of the floors in this '72 look to be original, rock solid, and covered in the factory under coating. The frame is also in excellent condition and this car hits the road better than you can imagine.

Åh, Oldsmobile, själva namnet frammanar bilder av klassiska amerikanska bilar och den öppna vägen. Låt oss göra en lugn resa genom fordons historien med detta ansedda varumärke.

Vår berättelse börjar 1897 när en man vid namn Ransom Eli Olds grundade Olds Motor Vehicle Company. Han var inte den förste att bygga bilar, men han var en pionjär inom massproduktionsteknik. År 1901 introducerade Oldsmobile "Curved Dash" Olds, allmänt ansedd som en av de första i USA massproducerade bilarna. Men kanske toppen av Oldsmobiles excellens kom under 1960-talet med Oldsmobile 4-4-2, en bil som både var sportig och praktisk. 4-4-2 stod för 4-fackskarburator, 4-växlad manuell växellåda och dubbla avgassystem. Den var en muskelbil för dem som ville ha kraft utan att offra komfort. Den var själva inkarnationen av muskelbilar i Amerika.

Sedan fanns Oldsmobile Cutlass, en bil som blev en amerikansk institution. Den var en familjesedan, en sportbil och en lyxbil i ett. Cutlass var pålitlig, bekväm och mångsidig, vilket gjorde den till en av de mest sålda bilarna i amerikansk fordonsindustris historia.

Tyvärr mötte Oldsmobile utmaningar under åren och varumärket som en gång var ett symbol för amerikansk fordonsinnovation och excellens slutade produktionen år 2004. Det markerade slutet på en era.

Men Oldsmobiles arv lever vidare i hjärtat hos bilentusiaster, samlare och alla som uppskattar klassiska amerikanska bilar.
