Allmän beskrivning : 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Tribute There are many different makes and models of muscle cars out there but many would argue the king of them all is the classic 442. Standing for 4 barrel carb, 4 speed transmission, and dual exhaust this car was all muscle car and advertised that directly in its name. This 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is not an original 442 but has been fitted with the appropriate badging and rear spoiler. The car is however all numbers matching with the factory drivetrain still in place. It is also being offered up at a very affordable price so even the beginner classic car enthusiast can cruise around in this iconic muscle car. Possibly one of the biggest features the car has to offer is its reliability. The car has been road tested and is the type of classic you can hop in and go anywhere. It was entirely rebuilt about 15 years ago at which time the odometer was reset to 0. Since then it has racked up only 34,000 miles, 2200 of which were put on when the current owner drove it home. The exterior of the car is coated in a nice white paint with Burgundy style striping across the rear. 3 years ago the car was slightly cosmetically restored with a lot of new chrome pieces, new light lenses, and it also received a new alternator, brakes and the rear spoiler. All of the correct trim pieces are there and these cars had some pretty unique pieces considering muscle cars typically have a minimal amount. Two stainless trim pieces actually run the length of each of the front fenders and turn to wrap around the windows and both are in great condition. They give the car a very tough streamline look along with the great stance and American Racing Torque Thrust wheels under all four corners. Powering the car is the factory 350 V8 motor mated to an automatic transmission. It is all numbers matching and runs very well. Coated most of the engine components is the factory style Gold and Black color combo. Power brakes are in place as well as air conditioning which are nice comforts to have in a car of this vintage. The interior is complete in a Dark Red that shows very minimal signs of wear and tear. The carpeting and headliner are all in great shape. Bucket seats are found up front and sit to each side of the original style center console. This console gives you extra storage space and also houses the shifter. The dash is also in good shape with a nice dash pad and all of the original style gauges, knobs, and switches. The steering column is painted to match the upholstery and is topped by an aftermarket billet steering wheel. Other customized components include the Kenwood AM/FM/CD player and an added gauge pod for the Sunpro temp, volt and oil gauge. This cool muscle car is in great shape and drives even better than it looks. Den var en muskelbil för dem som ville ha kraft utan att offra komfort. Den var själva inkarnationen av muskelbilar i Amerika.

Sedan fanns Oldsmobile Cutlass, en bil som blev en amerikansk institution. Den var en familjesedan, en sportbil och en lyxbil i ett. Cutlass var pålitlig, bekväm och mångsidig, vilket gjorde den till en av de mest sålda bilarna i amerikansk fordonsindustris historia.

Tyvärr mötte Oldsmobile utmaningar under åren och varumärket som en gång var ett symbol för amerikansk fordonsinnovation och excellens slutade produktionen år 2004. Det markerade slutet på en era.
