Hidden headlights, a seriously long hood, and extra flare in the fenders – oh yeah, the Olds stylists knew how to make a very cool car. And the details on this one only get better. The upgraded steering wheel gives you an awesome view of the unique vertical speedometer, as well as the surrounding gauges and upgraded aux readouts. And you'll love that power windows let you show off the hardtop profile without ever leaving the driver's seat. And since the factory air conditioning is blowing cold, you can do this all through the summer season.
Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 455 cubic-inch V8. This has a well-preserved and correct presentation, right down to the metallic blue on the block. And the freshness of the supporting components like the belts, wires, and hoses tell you it has been under the right care. The Super Rocket big block makes some of the best power of the era thanks to the factory Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and the strong three-speed automatic transmission has no trouble getting the power to the front wheels. It's a unique setup that was an engineering marvel for its time. But what's really important is that the big power and smooth ride this coupe has today is exactly what makes you so fondly remember Oldsmobile. Sedan fanns Oldsmobile Cutlass, en bil som blev en amerikansk institution. Den var en familjesedan, en sportbil och en lyxbil i ett. Cutlass var pålitlig, bekväm och mångsidig, vilket gjorde den till en av de mest sålda bilarna i amerikansk fordonsindustris historia.
Tyvärr mötte Oldsmobile utmaningar under åren och varumärket som en gång var ett symbol för amerikansk fordonsinnovation och excellens slutade produktionen år 2004. Det markerade slutet på en era.
