A good Mopar is always the best muscle car for the money. The rare production numbers and unique touches always make them a hit today. It gets even better on a 1972 Plymouth Duster Twister that has plenty of speedy style and was upgraded to a 360 V8.
The Duster had one of the most aggressive A-body designs, and the white side stripes love to show off those great curves in the rear. In fact, this one has some of the best speedy style cues with the blackout hood with strobe stripe, and we know you love the look of the dual air scoops on top. The wide grille, Rallye wheels, and full Duster Twister graphics are all part of this cool/classic/aggressive look. This was born an ultra-desirable Hemi Orange car, and there's a ton of originality left in this one. So while the value price can leave room in your budget for a respray, we really like that they kept this as original as possible over the decades. After all, it can only be factory once, and earned patina is truly the in-style right now. In fact, the only modern element you'll likely find on this coupe is the Mopar windshield decal.
The interior is simple, functional, and gets down to business. The seats are clean and comfortable, and the front ones have the right high-back support for good comfort. All the basics are in place, including classic elements, like the three-spoke steering wheel, wood-like trim, and large speedo flanked by plenty of aux gauges. An AM/FM/cassette stereo provides upgraded driving music, and the added oil pressure readout is quite handy. Overall, this remains a blank slate that gives you the right durable driver's classic features today and leaves room in your budget for whatever custom touches you want in the future.
The callouts on the hood scoop were not lying. This one has been upgraded past what the factory was offering, and it now has a 360 cubic-inch V8. That already makes for a potent package for this lightweight Duster even before you check out the go-fast goodies. It includes a four-barrel carburetor, upgraded Mopar intake, MSD ignition, and a wicked set of long tube headers feeding an H-pipe dual exhaust. The A727 Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission was built to handle big power machines like this. So you have a strong heart to go with a true muscle car classic.
