It's going to be harder to find a meaner example of Mopar muscle than this. With the big 528ci Hemi V8 under the hood, a wicked growl from the exhaust, and so much more, this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Tribute is the fiercest bird around... but it still doesn't lose that charm we all love.
The paint on this car has a similar feeling to the 1970-correct Ice Blue, but then the light hits it, and a whole new world opens up. The modern blue metallic was applied by a professional hand, so it sparkles in the sunshine and gets deeper in the moonlight. And then are the sporty touches that make this a true performance Plymouth. The triple hood stripe emphasizes the power bulge. And we know you really love the yellow Road Runner graphics that remind you about how this coupe can leave everyone else in the dust. Wide chrome bumpers, broad dual exhaust tips, and upgraded 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels finish off this package with intimidating flair.
The black vinyl interior pairs well with the black accents on the outside. Moreover, the factory-correct pattern with comfort-weave inserts is more intricate than you would expect on a Plymouth. In fact, the bucket seats, center console, and all the wood-like trim really gives this an upscale feeling. There's even modern R134a air conditioning keeping you comfortable! But your real favorite feature will be the new signature on the dash of Don "Big Daddy" Garlits as this car was owned by one of his crew members.
The engine bay looks great with the painted walls and Coyote Duster air topper. But it's what's underneath that's really going to impress. In 1970 the base V8 for these Road Runner was the 383 cubic-inch unit. That's a great motor, but it was no match for the huge 528ci crate Hemi that's now been installed here. It inhales deeply with a Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority as long tube headers that feed a growling dual exhaust. Plus, there are the right supporting components like an aluminum radiator and separate trans cooler. That last one is especially important, because you get full control over this monster motor with the three-speed auto with manual valve body. And with power steering and front disc brakes, you can easily tame this wild Road Runner.
The horn of this Road Runner might still go "Beep! Beep!" but the rumble this one makes going down the road means it's no kid's show. Don't miss this mean Mopar, call today!!!
