The Pontiac Firebird is legend. First generation Firebirds remain scares in numbers, as they were produced for only three years! 1967-1969. Built on the same F-body platform, these Pontiacs always stood-out from their Camaro cousin, with their iconic beak-like front-end, and striped tail-lights. This bird predates the Trans Am, and was the coolest pony car GM had to offer in 1968. And that power convertible top truly makes this one special!
The exterior color on this Firebird is quite unique. Pontiac's "Verdoro green". It's a rather dark, metallic military green that looks sweet in the sunlight. It's in real nice shape too. It goes great with the ivory vinyl interior and top.
As per the previous owners, this Firebird was sold new at Cathcart Pontiac, Inc. In Trenton NJ. It has been owned by the original family who purchased it, up until about four years ago when it was acquired by the current owner. The original family loved and took great car of the car (clearly!), and they nicknamed her "Betsy". After purchasing the car in 2018, the current owner invested in some serious upgrades. A rebuilt 350 V8 now sits in the engine bay, and is paired to a 2-speed powerglide automatic. Both the engine and transmission have only about 1000 miles put on since the rebuild (Per the current owner).
