Pontiac Le Mans 326 V8 1965

Allmän beskrivning : 1965 Pontiac Lemans Created as a top of the line trim level for the Tempest, the Pontiac Lemans boosted sales in its first year year pushing Pontiac to number 3.  The popularity continued throughout its production and ultimately was a big reason why the GTO was ever created.  This 1965 model is in beautiful condition from front to rear.  Those classic stacked headlights and dual grill grace the front end and make it instantly recognizable by anyone that knows cars.  The body is extremely straight and has all of its original panels.  It has been repainted 1 time and since has been extremely well cared for to maintain the exceptional finish.  The Red has a great shine and pairs perfectly with the Black vinyl top which is in great shape as well.  It has no rust issues and up until 2008 everything on the car was factory except for the repaint.  At that time all of the chrome and stainless trim pieces were replace and still have that like new shine.  The windshield was replaced in 2009 and has remained damage free since.  American Racing wheels grace all four corners and are wrapped with new Cooper Ultra Touring tires with less than 100 miles.  In 2011 the 326 V8 motor was entirely rebuilt by Xtreme Horsepower and all of the engine work was completed by a SAM accredited race engine builder.  The build was well documented and the builder noted that during the process it was very apparent that the motor hadn't been touched since it was put together in the factory.  It was bored .030 over, had the pistons/rings/rods replaced and the crankshaft was turned .010.  The cylinder heads were also rebuild and the car received some upgrades which include the Griffin custom aluminum radiator, MSD electronic distributor, Custom Accel plug wires, Hooker ceramic headers, a new mechanical fuel pump, dual electric fans, MSD blaster coil, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock performer 4 barrel 650cfm carb and a rebuilt driveshaft.  The car also got a new TCI TH 400 street fighter automatic transmission.  The front suspension was gone through prior to that in 2008 where it received all new ball joints, springs, and shock absorbers.  The power disc brakes were also replaced at that time and have since been rebuilt/repaired as needed.    The interior is done in Black and looks great.  It has mostly a stock appearance except for a few upgrades like the QuickSilver shifter, center console, and Old Air underdash AC unit.  The dash utilizes all of the stock knobs, switches, and gauges all of which are working properly.  The original woodgrain steering wheel is in good shape and has the original Ponitac horn button.  The trunk has been kept clean as well with a vinyl mat and spare with cover.  This is an extremely nice car and drives very well.  It runs down the road comfortably whether you are cruising through town or running down the highway at 70.  With over 42k invested get it while you can for the reduced price of only $35,750.00 $32,900.00!
