Powering this 78’ Trans Am is a 6.6L 400 4BBL V8, which is mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission that shifts the power to the 3:42 10 bolt POSI rear end beautifully. The 2nd generation of GM/Pontiac’s F-Body vehicles hosted an array of impressive body lines, strong powertrains, and new options for over a decade (1970-1981), and this specific arrival is a shining example of why the 2nd generation held such a lengthy tenure. The engine has only 150 miles since the build on it.
