Have you ever wanted to play in the creek or jump sand dunes in a real Porsche 911? MotoeXotica Classic Cars offers you the opportunity with this one of a kind steel body 1969 Baja Porsche 911. This wild custom Porsche was built by well know classic car hunter Michael Lightbourn of New Mexico. If you never heard of this gentleman, we suggest you Google his name and be entertained by some really fascinating stories such as rediscovering Big Daddy Ed Roth’s long lost “Orbitron” in an adult sex shop in Juarez Mexico! A lost 23 T-bucket painted by Von Dutch, a rare all original Olympic Gold 1969 Z28 Camaro with 10,081 original miles, and some extremely rare and optioned classic Ford Mustangs found in Mexico’s countryside.
Lightbourn started this build with a very original 1969 Porsche 911 Coupe that he found on one of his adventures. After the build was completed the 911 was displayed at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Using a real Baja Chassis as its foundation, this 911 boasts an all-steel body. The chassis and underside of the body have been coated with U-POL Raptor lining. Lightbourn informed us that the Stealth paint was purchased directly from the Air Force surplus and is the same finish used on the Stealth Bomber! The black satin, military stealth paint is in excellent condition. There’s a rack on the roof to store spare tires, gear, etc. The only piece of glass is the windshield. Instead of standard headlights, there are fog lights, a bank of cowl lights and a larger bank of roof lights, from Bully Dog.
This rig rides on Maxxis Bighorn light truck knobbies, size 30X9.50R15 at all four corners. Each large tire wraps around a black, 15-inche custom three-piece billet OMF performance racing wheels. The tires and wheels are in excellent condition. The car has six high-performance Exit shock absorbers, too.
In back is a Volkswagen 2.3L flat four-cylinder engine breathing via quad exhausts and bolted to a four-speed manual transmission. This is a one of a kind custom vehicle and is sold on a bill of sale only (no title). Not intended for street use.
Inside are a pair of black 911 style racing seats that are in great condition. The three-spoke steering wheel looks good, as does the instrument panel chock of full of Autometer gauges save for a speedometer and odometer. The car has an ARC Audio system, too which was displayed at their booth for SEMA 2017.
