Ford F-100 312 V8 1956

General description : FLT HEAD 312 V8,TRIPL CARB, 3SPD ON FLOOR, BIG WINDOW, PREVIOUS CELEBRITY-OWNED!

When it comes to classic trucks, you want two things: vintage looks and rare options. This 1956 Ford F-100 has both and much more. Add in celebrity ownership and a power-backed triple-deuce V8, and you have one of the most distinct vintage pickup deals going today.
It doesn't take much for you to fall in love with this truck. The Ford F-100 is arguably the best-looking post-war pickup, and 1956 tends to be the favorite year. It only gets better when you take a look at the super-slick paintjob that makes the black rival the chrome for shininess in the sunlight. 1956 was the only year for this unique horizontal grille that goes uninterrupted from headlight to headlight. Also, this was the first year for the wraparound windshield. But what you'll really want to take notice of is the optional big wraparound rear window – an exceptionally rare find today. Plus, it wouldn't be a cool vintage pickup without a real wood truck bed, whitewalls, and steelie wheels with bright factory covers. In fact, this one is such a standout that Wayne Carini of the show Chasing Classic Cars was a proud former owner of this pickup.
While the exterior gives few hints to the hot rod lifestyle, the custom interior is a bit more obvious. It starts with the aggressive red that looks like hot lava when viewed through the exterior black paint. The bench seat is vastly more comfortable than anything that came out of the '50s. It has been upgraded to a later modern comfortable cloth setup that now includes a fold-down armrest for individual comfort. There's an overhead console for gauges, and your steering wheel is now the grippy NK4 model borrowed from later Chevrolets. And that wood grip on the shifter is just begging for your right hand.
The engine bay does a great job of uniting this truck's color scheme and looking aggressive, too. The black painted fender walls draw all your focus to the red block of the 312 cubic-inch V8. And those Thunderbird valve covers remind you that while the Y-block was available in the F-100 for '56, you had to have the top dog T-bird if you wanted a something this large. And more than just an upgrade in displacement, you have more go-fast goodies like the Edelbrock intake and the iconic three air toppers of the Bendix triple-deuce carb setup. This means you get nice power from the V8 and a sweet rumble from the glasspack-style dual exhaust. Best of all you're in complete control of it all thanks to the three-speed manual transmission.
This is the kind of classic that will draw in a crowd all on its own... and then you get to tell them about the Carini connection! This is truly a standout vintage pickup, and if you hurry, it can all be yours.Call now!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
