Presented in the gleaming colour combination of Honolulu Blue and Olde English white coachwork, Royal Blue mohair soft top with matching carpets, St James Red hide piped Blue and Burr walnut woodwork. This particular example benefits with a host of well thought out modern additional items to enhance and more importantly improve the overall driving experience. They consist of the installation of TRA seat belts, uprated adjustable dampers, rear brake discs and callipers fitted in their place for better all-around stopping power, electric ignition as well as a WASP high torque starter motor and alternator for complete on the button reliability.
Having undergone extensive works some 5 years ago when acquired by its last owner, this wonderful Healey during his ownership has been used sparingly with the exception of the annual run to Goodwood each year. Always kept in a state of ‘on the buttons readiness the car had been fully maintained annually by a well known specialist and personal friend of DD CLASSICS. Having had the pleasure of taking the car out for a 50-mile road test on a beautiful sunny morning, roof down and the roar of the big 6 cylinder engine trapping along, you will be hard pushed to find a better, well-sorted driving example, everything you ask of the car it delivers and exceeds all expectations.

About Austin-Healey
Austin-Healey was a British sports car make created as a joint-venture between the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and the Donald Healey Motor Company. First Healey model, Healey 100, was based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals and developed by Donald Healey to be build in-house. They finished a single Healey Hundred for the 1952 London Motor Show. Leonard Lord, managing director of Austin was so impressed by the design that a deal was duly struck with Healey and the car was renamed the Austin-Healey 100 overnight. Austin Healey was born. 100 derived into 100-six, and different 3000 versions before they quit the production in 1968 as the basic design had finally become obsolete.
