BMW3.5 CSI Cabrio „Turbo“Baujahr 1974Dieses Fahrzeug ist eine Sensation. Die Fa. Karmann baute von 1968 bis 1975 die E9 Coupe’s für BMW. In dieser Zeit entwarf Karman ein E9 Cabrio als Modell und stellte es BMW vor. Diese Idee fand bei BMW aber wenig Anklang, da der Wettbewerb die Fa. Baur schon ein fertiges 02-Cabrio 1968 marktreif hatte. Ein Jahrzehnt später nahm Jürgen Dreschel diese Idee wieder auf und entwickelte ein BMW E9 Cabrio. Inspiriert wurde Dreschel sicher vom ersten Deutsch-Cabrio, welches 1969 in Köln entstand. Er wollte es aber noch perfekter und so spendierte er seiner Version noch das Cabrioverdeck vom E30. Diesen Bausatz bot er weiteren Coupé Freunden an und so entstanden im Laufe der Zeit noch 8 weitere Dreschl-Cabrios.Doch damit nicht genug, ihm Dreschl Cabrio fanden auch noch das Triebwerk, Getriebe und Achsen vom 745i turbo Platz und mit ein bißchen Feintuning hievte er dieses Cabrio auf fast 300 PS. Die Oldtimer-Praxis berichtete in ihrer Ausgabe im Jahre 1991 ausführlich davon.Mittlerweile gab auch BMW sein Segen für diesen Umbau. Die Nr. 2 steht im Moment im Technik Museum von Sinsheim und hier wird auch die Geschichte von diesem Cabrio erläutert.Dreschl als Ingenieur bekannt, spendierte seinem Cabrio ferner noch ein Vollleder Interieur mit beheizbaren Recaro Sportsitzen, elektrische Fensterheber, modernisierte VDO Instrumente, automatisches Verdeck, Zentralverriegelung, Tempomat, Bordcomputer, Klimaanlage, Sound-Sytem, BBS Felgen, Edelstahlauspuffanlage. Er nannte es selbst „Eines der schönsten Cabrios, die BMW nie gebaut hat“.Das Fahrverhalten dieses Cabrios ist makellos. Die ausgeklügelten Versteifungen vermitteln in jeder Situation ein sicheres Gefühl. Der Turbo-Motor ist brachial, die Soundkulisse einfach grandios.Zusätzlich ist eine umfangreiche Bibliothek über die Entstehungsgeschichte dieses Cabrios vorhanden. Sämtliche Schriftwechsel mit BMW, Konstruktionszeichnungen und Dokumentationen über dieses Fahrzeug.Wenn überhaupt, würde dieses BMW 3.5 CSI Turbo Cabriolet nur an einen ernsthaften Enthusiasten mit ausreichendem Kapitalnachweis- abgegeben werden. Dieses geschichtsträchtige Fahrzeug gibt es kein zweites Mal auf dem Markt.
