Buick re-introduced the Riviera in 1963 and by 1966, Buick was on its first year of second generation production which featured an all-new design. The gorgeous fastback styling was the work of then head of GM Styling, Bill Mitchell. While the Buick Riviera retained its rear-wheel drive configuration, it shared many similarities with its GM cousin, the front-wheel drive Oldsmobile Toronado.
This 1966 Buick Riviera is presented in the beautiful colour scheme, Burgundy Mist with a contrasting white vinyl top. The car received a professional show quality repaint in 2015; and rides on whitewall tires mounted on factory optional chrome-plated 5-spoke wheels.
Powered by the famous Wildcat 465 7.0 litre, V-8 engine which is paired to a three-speed automatic transmission, with power steering and brakes the drive is phenomenal.
Inside, the Riviera is completed in pearl white which is in superb and original condition, it also features air conditioning, radio with power antenna and Strato seats with a fold-down armrest. The car has been fastidiously maintained over the course of its life and is a truly beautiful example.
