General description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1952 Buick Super Riviera Straight 8. Buick was a brand that has been around since 1903 and was the first maker cars with overhead valve engines. Marketed above the Chevrolet and below the Cadillac the Buick was the premium brand that people could turn to at a reasonable price. The 50’s models were known for their rounded lines and tons of chrome making them sought after today. This example has lived a pampered life being bought new in Chicago and used as a fair-weather car most of its life. With the original bill of sale, service brochure and a ton of other original documents this 52 is a rare find. The paint is original to the car and proves how well the car has been taken care of. The ports on the side are the distinguishing feature on these cars and really give the car that distinguished look. Under the hood is the original Straight 8 that was Buick’s go to motor and a staple for the company. This one is original to the car and still runs excellent with nothing, but a valve job done this baby purrs like a kitten. The 3 speed transmission shifts as it should and is guaranteed to take you back to that easier time. The big green front seat is comfortable with seat belts that were recently added making the ride a little safer. The dash is in excellent shape with the big round speedometer placed right in the front of the driver as these cars drove so smooth it as easy to speed.
