Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1955 Buick Roadmaster. The Roadmaster received its first major postwar restyling in 1949. Its wheelbase and overall length were reduced but its weight was actually increased. It was also in 1949 that Buick introduced "VentiPorts." Four were displayed on each of the Roadmaster's front fenders, with three on the fenders of most other Buicks. 1955 was a big year for Buick with the introduction of their first V8 engine. That engine was the 322 CID V8 with 188 horsepower that powers this Buick. This was also the first year for the 12 volt electric system. This old Roadmaster is what we like to refer to as a survivor car. It appears to have been well maintained over the years. This car can be enjoyed for years to come in its "as is" state, or it's ready for that special makeover. The new buyer gets to decide!
