The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1966 Cadillac Eldorado 2 Door Convertible with a beautiful Cape Ivory exterior paint and a matching Ivory leather interior.  The current owner informs us that you’ll find the factory 429 cid V-8 engine under the hood with the correct automatic transmission, and this survivor is fully factory loaded with power steering, power brakes, dual backup lights, dual speed wipers, power windows and a power top, factory air conditioning and the original AM/FM radio.  This one is in fantastic overall condition as well and it is ready to be enjoyed immediately with what is believed to be an original 81,000 lifetime miles.

Serious collectors know that 1966 was the final year of production for the Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible with only 2,250 total produced.  This example in Cape Ivory (code 40-1) was one of the rarest colors available and looks fantastic with the factory Ivory leather interior.  Given that this classic is also fully loaded from top to bottom, this is a sensationally rare Edorado with only a handful of comparable investment-grade examples in existence.
The current owner informs us that this 1966 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible has been with four lifetime owners with a large part of its life spent in the warm Nevada desert.  It was fully restored once decades ago to a very high level and it still shows far above the typical driver quality, with sleek body lines and the correct factory-color paint with only minor imperfections.  The interior is also gorgeous with very nicely kept interior seating and very clean carpeting, dashboard and consoles- it almost feels like a step back in time.
Additionally, this 1966 Cadillac Eldorado Roadster is a true joy to drive on the open road with smooth handling and very nice acceleration.  The factory suspension is perhaps the most impressive because this classic luxury roadster simple glides down the road at highway speeds.  It is a very impressive original example with exactly the right types of high-end refinement serious collectors look for.
