Chevrolet 3100 1950

General description : DESIRABLE BODY STYLE, 350 V8, 700R4 AUTO, PWR STEER/BRAKE, RUN/DRIVE GR8, NICE!!

A powerful V8, overdrive transmission, and four-wheel disc brakes all wrapped in a matte black presentation... This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 is the cool custom street machine that's ready to run right now.
It is hard not to get drawn in by an interesting pickup like this one. Refinished in a modern matte black, this 65+ year old has a serious dose of attitude. It's even on custom pieces like the windshield shade and side steps that integrate the exhaust tips. This satin finish also draws plenty of attention to the bright work like the chrome bumpers, hood trim, and the five-bar grille that is an artistic icon today. Plus, the Vision torque thrust-style wheels are staggered size (17/18-inches front/rear) to the classic appearance and give it modern aggression.
More custom work is evident the moment you open the door. The black vinyl bench seat has a custom-style presentation, and the fold-down armrest means you can have an individual level of comfort. Plus, full carpeting and an AM/FM/CD stereo are more big improvements over the old '50s cab. But it all still feels vintage thanks to the Art Deco style dash. You slip behind a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, grab the tall floor shifter, and look out over a full set of dolphin gauges – all clear indications that you'll love what's in the engine bay.
Under the hood is a clean presentation radiating with bold block paint, shining valve covers, and a matching air topper. Chevy's 350 cubic-inch V8 is from the great tradition of hardy small-blocks that are infinitely upgrade-able. That's why this one has already been fitted with goodies such as a Holley double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. It's a motor that you can see and feel its extra kick of power. Plus, the Magnaflow dual exhaust even lets you hear it. This is a great motor for the streets, and it only gets better with some terrific upgrades like the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Plus, there's power steering, an independent front suspension, grippy Yokohama Avid tires, and the superior stopping power of four-wheel disc brakes.
Complete with maintenance records, this is the classic pickup that has the look of a street machine and all the right investments to back it up, too. Nice custom builds like this never stay here long, so don't miss your chance. Call now!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
