Chevrolet 3100 Restomod 350 V8 1949

General description : Description
Patina trucks teach us there's more than meets the eye. After all, with a terrific gloss, upgraded A/C interior, and a powerful V8, this 1949 Chevrolet 3100 pickup has a cool kind of confidence that goes beyond its worn-in appearance.
This is a patina'd body, which is always going to get you attention and start conversations wherever you go. But what gives this one back the hint of luster it lost decades ago is a new clear coat finish. It seals in the distinct appearance and adds some protection, which is a good thing considering all the other investments that have been made to make this a long-term classic. You see its true charm in the bright grille and large 20-inch Boyd Coddington wheels. It looks great with the lowered suspension that neatly tucks these modern alloys under the classic fender lines. The wood bed was elevated so that this could accommodate the lower stance while not losing its vintage charm. In fact, speaking of classic appeal, we know you love all the extra pieces like the visor over the windshield, pinstriping, and cool Bubba's Chop Shop logos on the doors.
Inside there has been an investment in comfort. The bench seat has custom contouring to be vastly more comfortable than anything you could get in a '40s pickup. And you have a ton of great upgrades, including power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and R134a air conditioning (will need servicing to blow ice cold). So while it might look like you're roughing it on the outside, you'll be as comfortable as a modern pickup on the inside! There's even a great banjo-style wood and chrome steering wheel, and that gives you a nice view of the full Dolphin gauge package.
Because you're going to be showing off this whole truck, even the engine bay looks cool. You have a tidy setup dominated by a hot rod air topper painted to match the interior green and even has pinstriping. The 350 cubic-inch V8 is far more displacement than what came on the entire Advance Design series, and this one is further enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and shorty headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. There's even an aluminum radiator to keep this total package running cool. And so while you're thinking about cruising this patina machine, upgrades like the three-speed automatic transmission, upgraded independent front suspension, power steering, and four wheel disc brakes will really get your mind going about how far you can easily take this former workhorse.
This is an exceptionally cool patina custom that's unique, sporty, and all-around comfortable. So don't miss out on something this distinct. Call today!!!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
