Under the hood is a period correct (and believed to be original) 216.5 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder engine paired to a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission. The 6v electrical system was upgraded to a 12v system and the appropriate wiring changes were made to make for a much more reliably starting truck. The vehicle was recently repainted and looks fantastic cruising down the road. The interior has also had an overhaul and was made safer thanks to the addition of seat belts.
The white-wall tires complete the look of this classy pickup. Being a 5-window makes this a much more desirable pickup than your average '51 chevy truck. Coupled with the originality and this truck definitely stands out as something special. The engine starts up easy thanks to the aforementioned 12v conversion, the transmission shifts smoothly, and the brakes quickly bring this Chevy to a safe stop.
