The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Convertible with signature two-tone Gypsy Red and India Ivory exterior paint, staggered tires,  (P215/R70-15 front) and (P235/70R-15 rear) with 8" front rims and 9" rear rims enhances this Chevy's looks, a beautiful white soft top and a matching red/white upholstered interior.  You’ll find a brand new GM 5.3L fuel-injected V-8 engine under the hood with a new GM 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, a Ford 9” differential with 3:73 gear ratio, an all-new modern suspension with four-wheel disc brakes, plus convenience features like power steering, air conditioning, tilt steering, Dakota digital gauges, a reproduction radio and so much more.

The current owner of this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible took possession back in 2018 and almost immediately started a multi-year restoration effort that started with removing the frame, reinforcing and powder coating the frame plus replacing all the major mechanicals throughout to create a modern showstopper.  No expense was spared in this extensive build with all new wiring, an upgraded suspension and a brand-new modern drivetrain with an in-frame exhaust and so much more- it starts, drives, handles and stops like a modern convertible.
The exterior of this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Roadster shows great with beautiful two-tone paint, excellent chrome work and flawless trim.  All the body panels align properly and rest on staggered 8” front wheels with 9” wheels in the rear.  Due to the sensational build quality, the exterior gives the appearance of a completely stock ’55 Chevy with proper badging, lights, front grill and trim pieces with an excellent convertible top, whitewall tires, and chrome hubcaps.  This is a picture-perfect classic example that really turns some heads on the open road.
