Chevrolet Blazer 1972

General description : Introduced as a competitor to the legendary Ford Bronco and venerable International Scout, Chevrolet's awesome K5 Blazer could be considered the Camaro of SUVs -- it didn't create the segment, but it certainly set the standard! In fact, the Blazer was such a success that Chrysler, the company every SUV manufacturer continues to chase, ultimately created offerings like the Ramcharger and original Jeep Cherokee as direct competition. So, how do you make a ride that's already as hot as this convertible Chevy even more desirable? You professionally refinish its body, bolt up some trick suspension components, throw in a smooth small block and line it with a nice combination of timeless style and modern convenience. If you like your classic to be show ready AND fun to drive, but Jeeps and Broncos are just too common and too cramped, this killer K5 is your next cruiser!
TAILORED TWO-DOOR
Built to turn heads while conquering the road, this sweet Chevy is the beneficiary of a detailed rotisserie restoration that followed excellent metalwork with silky black two-stage. At the head of that gloss, a '68 Action Line front-clip tilts a righteous red bowtie amid traditional headlights, a polished bumper and a stainless-trimmed grille. Above that grille, a tilted bonnet floats a classy Chevrolet hood sight in front of stainless-trimmed glass that's sealed between bright wipers, a Satin Black top and a polished antenna. That antenna tops a retro chic profile, which floats polished door handles and '72 K5 marker lamps between custom badging, '68 C10 mirrors and '68 C10 rocker trim. And at the back of that trim, a polished fuel cap leads bright halogen taillights, which join a red-trimmed '68 C10 tailgate between '68 C10 stainless and a second polished bumper.
ALL TRUCK!
Pop this classic's stylish hood and you'll find an even six liters of modern Chevrolet small block that, like the truck's restoration, is fresh and ready to roll! Providing high-end motivation for two decades of General Motors offerings, the storied Vortec 6000 combines the agreeable power of GM's banner LS V8 with the resolute durability that's expected of cherished American rigs. Front and center, a Spectre filter cone caps a polished air tube. Billet serpentine components spin a polished power steering pump beneath a polished alternator and a polished AC compressor. A trick radiator support strings a polished Performance Rod & Custom radiator in front of quick SPAL puller fans. AC Delco plug wires join cast exhaust manifolds and a quality Baer master cylinder to detail an otherwise purpose-built performer. And everything rides in a clean, body-matched engine bay that's finished with crisp hood supports and an ornate engine shroud.
NOT STOCK
Park this Blazer on a lift and you'll find solid floors that, along with a fully restored chassis, sport clean, monochromatic aesthetics. At the center of those bones, a smooth 4L60E 4-speed automatic spins torque to a tough 12-bolt axle. That proven pumpkin pushes a parallel 4-link rear-clip that wraps RideTech coil-over-shocks in quality Hyperco springs. An independent front-half bends a thick sway bar around fluid power steering, two more Hyperco-spiced RideTech shocks and brutal RideTech StrongArm control arms. At the corners, serious Baer calipers clamp a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Aluminized pipes feed throaty turbo mufflers while an electric pump drains a stainless fuel tank. And all that mechanical goodness rolls on polished Bonspeed wheels, which lap 235/50R19 Couragia redlines in front of 275/55R20 Couragia redlines.
RED HOUNDSTOOTH!
Climb inside this razor-sharp K5 and you'll find a dramatic yet simple interior that feels like a great place to spend the summer! Dressed in striking red houndstooth, the truck's factory thrones are all-day comfortable. Textured carpet centers a small console between correct door panels and color-keyed floor mats. A glossy dash, stamped with a familiar red bowtie, founds direct-fit audio and Vintage Air conditioning between a '72 pad, stainless-trimmed pedals and attractive Dakota Digital VHX telemetry. And the driver spins a choice Chevrolet Rally Wheel around a tilting column.
It's no wonder the Chevrolet Blazer continues to be one of the market's most popular options for stylish, high-riding transportation! With sweet aesthetics, epic swagger and muscle car streetability, this K5 is the perfect combination of form and function. Call your friends at https://www.RKMotors.com for more information!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
