Description : Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this ultra-tough 1985 Chevrolet Blazer. While we don't have a lot of detail on the build, one only has to look at this giant black behemoth to see that it is heavily modified and built to conquer anything that comes its way off the beaten path. Power is supplied by a massive 454 CID big block V8, which is backed by a heavy-duty GM TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. The 454 is equipped with long tube headers, Holley 4BBL carb, and MSD-enhanced ignition. This giant beast sits atop a powder-coated frame, which matches its heavily reinforced powder-coated front and rear axles. The black/gray/purple color scheme is carried over underneath, with purple leaf springs, disc brake calipers (discs at all 4 corners), front and rear driveshaft safety loops, fuel tank, and rear control arms, and the engine block and transfer case. Skid plates abound, keeping miscellaneous ground junk from tearing into vital components while you're off-roading. The TrailMaster quad shock setup up front provides plenty of damping for landing those hill jumps that you might be tempted to try, and TrailMaster dampers for the steering will help keep big bumps or tough landings from upsetting your grip on directional control. Twin electric pusher fans provide extra air flow to the massive radiator, helping keep the giant 454 running in the green zone. Giant 16/38.5-15LT Mickey Thompson M/T Baja Claw off-road radials on deep-dish 14-hole aluminum wheels supply ample grip to get in and out of trouble, but in the event you find yourself needing it, there's a Warn MX8000 electric winch housed behind the front bumper, so you can help your friends or yourself get out of tough situations. Inside, the black/gray/purple scheme continues, with the door panels, roll bar, 4 high-back bucket racing seats, all outfitted and trimmed in the black and purple motif. All 4 passengers will appreciate the full racing harnesses at each seat. Sunpro and VDO gauges replace the factory warning light, so you'll know what's going on before things get out of hand, whether it's with your coolant temp, oil pressure, charging system, or transmission temp. There is a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/XM Radio head unit has Bluetooth, so you can set up for using your phone hands-free (you'll need it!), once you get the stereo hookup completed. This is one off-road monster that won't be here long! Additional features and options on this 1985 Chevrolet Blazer for sale include Power Brakes, Power Locks, Power Steering, Power Windows, Seat Belts, Tilt Steering Wheel, and Vinyl-trimmed seats. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
