Chevrolet C10 396 V8 1970

General description : LIFTED C-10 4X4, FRESH BIG BLOCK 396 V8, AUTO, A/C, PWR FRNT DISC/STEER, OAK BED

This 1970 Chevy 4x4 pickup Is ready to go anywhere and tackle anything, but it's so pretty and beautifully finished that you may actually have second thoughts about taking it out on the trails. Oh, who am I kidding? This truck was BUILT to play in the dirt!
Ultra-clean C10 pickups are none too easy to find these days, but finding one that has been as well-built as this one, enhancing both performance and reliability is tougher yet. Finished in handsome dark green paint, this is a massive machine that will never be able to slip under the radar and will always be the center of attention anywhere it goes. There's no reason to modify the bodywork, either, since these are some of the best-looking commercial vehicles to ever come out of the GM styling studios. Square-jawed and muscular, it's like Superman rendered in sheetmetal, especially with that cool stepside bed. There's no sign of abuse or botched bodywork anywhere on the truck and while it was repainted a few years ago, it still looks great. With a good gloss and good panel alignment, it's obvious that someone invested a lot of time in making it look right and who cares if it shows a few signs of age today? It's ready to rock! The chrome and stainless is equally nice, keeping with the stock look and letting the big tires and tall suspension do all the talking. In the bed you'll find a professionally installed wood bed kit with polished stainless steel, that's ready to haul or show off at the car shows.
The interior is a largely stock driver's environment, recently freshened and ready to break in. The original bench remains in place, wrapped in a new original-style vinyl seat cover with tooling that looks like a saddle and wears like iron. Sturdy, low-maintenance rubber mats protect the floor, which also helps with both noise and heat control and yes, the R134a A/C is fully functional thanks to modern components working behind the scenes. The door panels, dash pad, and even the seat itself are good shape and a set of auxiliary gauges keep an eye on the mechanicals, which is critical when you're as far out in the middle of nowhere as this truck can carry you. A JVC AM/FM/cassette stereo system has been fitted in the stock radio's slot, so you can bring the entertainment with you and that big OEM steering wheel looks exactly right.
A sturdy 396 cubic inch V8 was professionally built (receipt for work available) expressly to power this heavy-duty 4x4, and features all the upgrades you'd expect from a powerplant built to play hard. A big Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and GM Performance intake manifold supply the air and fuel, while long-tube headers dump into a throaty dual exhaust system with mufflers that sound great and big stainless tips out back. The engine has been painted bright Chevy Orange so it looks traditional, and wears a modern serpentine belt drive system for reliability. Power steering and brakes make it a pleasure to wheel around despite its size, and are critical for off-road work. There's a rather serious lift kit on the suspension, giving it a towering presence on- and off-road, but a surprisingly compliant ride, and with new shocks, rebuilt brakes, a fresh TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, and 2-speed transfer case, it's ready to get dirty. Both the front and rear axles were serviced and electric fans keep it cool when you're just crawling along. The look is finished with oversized factory-style Rally wheels and giant off-road radials.
This is an extremely handsome truck with go-anywhere abilities that's ready to get dirty. A lot of money went into this one to get it this nice and reliable, and it won't last long. Call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
