Chevrolet C10 355 CID V8 1985

General description : For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a lowered, 3rd generation 1985 Chevrolet C10. This C10 is finished in bright red exterior paint, that was applied about 2 years ago. The red color is perfect for this style of build, it screams race ready. The 20” Boss aluminum/alloy wheels provide the perfect stance and look to the truck as well. Powering this 85’ C10 is a cammed up 355 CID V8 engine that has been dressed up very nicely. Pop the hood and you will see a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner on top, look a little closer and you will find the Holley carburetor, aluminum intake, Moroso plug wires, and Wheeler Motorsports valve covers. Headers flow to the full exhaust that create a truly awesome sound to this 355 V8. A TH-350 automatic with stall converter transfers the power to the 10 bolt rear end. The black interior is features white faced gauges, a cloth bench seat, and a few other aftermarket goodies. A black vinyl Tri-Fold bed cover protects the painted bed floor and provides a low profile appearance. Chevrolet's third generation C/K Series ran from 1973 to 1987, and sported an all new design. Officially known as the "Rounded-Line" generation, the third generation looked like nothing else on the road at the time of its debut. The rounded lines included rounded cab roof, sloped rounded doors, rounded windshield corners, rounded front fenders, and rounded bed corners which made possible the rounded taillights. The rounded design was incorporated in an effort to improve aerodynamics and to improve fuel efficiency. Also known as the "Square Body" design, although not an official nickname since it did not originate from General Motors. The odometer on this C10 reads 1,044, which represents the mileage put on the truck since the build was complete. Options for this 1985 Chevrolet C10 include: AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a great example of a hot rod C10 pickup that looks good, runs good, and will certainly draw a crowd. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
