Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck 1968

General description : The beneficiary of comprehensive restoration, this awesome C10 wraps a stalwart 350/4-speed drivetrain in a trick, air ride-equipped chassis and handsome Dark Blue paint. And if you're in the market for some standout Americana, it's a perfect candidate for your next hot rod!
LOW AND LEAN
A sporty stepside that's been treated to a detailed, frame-off restoration, this maverick Chevy wears a slick coat of Dark Blue 2-stage that walks a perfect line between nostalgic and contemporary. At the front of those digs, a tucked bumper frames an early Action Line grille, which centers bright halogens and a familiar red bowtie beneath an early Action Line hood. Behind that grille, custom fiberglass wheel tubs lead a clean profile that's finished with polished door handles and trick hot rod mirrors. At the top of that profile, tinted glass rides between capped wipers and a color-keyed tonneau that conceals stainless-trimmed wood and a relocated fuel filler. And at the back of the truck, a second broad bumper frames custom taillights and a 'CHEVROLET' branded tailgate.
CHEVY 350
Hoist the hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of stalwart GM crate engine that's been fully sorted and dressed to impress! At the top of the body-matched mill, a stylish, Chevrolet-branded air cleaner floats a reusable filter element around a big Holley 4-barrel that's outfitted with stainless lines, a liquid-filled pressure gauge and a quality Lokar linkage. That 4-pot feeds an Edelbrock Performer Air Gap intake, which fronts a hot Mallory distributor that fires through loomed Taylor ThunderVolt wires. Those wires trace attractive Proform valve covers, which prop polished breathers above coated Sanderson headers. At the front of those tubes, a billet serpentine drive spins an Edelbrock water pump between a modern AC compressor and a choice Powermaster alternator. Cooling is provided by a lightweight aluminum radiator and two electric puller fans. And the truck's massaged engine bay is dotted with quality ancillaries like trick dipsticks and a familiar Wilwood master cylinder.
GET SOME AIR
Naturally, this Chevy's tastefully upgraded power precedes tastefully upgraded athleticism. Everything starts with a C-notched frame, which rolls on a Mustang II front-clip and a tubular truck arm rear-clip. That chassis, which follows a beefy sway bar with polished control arms, makes excellent use of adjustable air ride that's pumped by an aluminum tank and two electric compressors. Behind the reliable 350, a smooth 700R4 4-speed spins torque to a tough 12-bolt axle. Power rack-and-pinion steering makes parking easy and turns a cinch. Stops are provided by four power-assisted calipers, which bridge the gap between braided Russell lines and vented rotors. Throaty Flowmaster Hushpowers create an excellent soundtrack. And power meets the pavement through polished Coys, which twist 255/35ZR20 Kumho Ecstas.
CUSTOM WHERE IT COUNTS
When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a comfortable cockpit that mixes thoroughly modern form with plenty of traditional charm. Front and center, a padded and painted dash fashions attractive No Limit billet around Vintage Air conditioning, modern Pioneer audio and blue-lit Auto Meter telemetry. Opposite that ledge, leather buckets complement a leather jump seat that transforms into a small console. A polished steering wheel laps a tilting column. And detailing is on point, with billet handles fronting glossy door inserts, bowtie-branded mats protecting fade-free carpet and quality Painless Wiring jolting big kick speakers.
The classic truck market has never been better, and offerings like this cool C10 are a perfect testament why. With a reliable, well-dressed drivetrain, a comfortable interior and attractive lines, this Chevy simply oozes cool. Call, click or visit https://www.RKMotors.com for more information!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
