Chevrolet C20 307 CID V8 1970

General description : For sale in our Chicago showroom is a true survivor 1970 Chevrolet C-20 4x4 Pickup. These old pickups are becoming increasingly scarce and very hard to find in their original state and this metallic maroon beauty still has under 37,000 actual miles from new. As soon as you step inside and take a seat on the immaculate velour seat and close the heavy metal door you have a feeling of how well built these old Chevys were. This truck is solid from top to bottom and you can feel how heavy and strong it is as soon as you start driving. The low first gear make this ideal for towing a boat or that vintage camper and is sure to get some looks on the open road. One turn of the key on the dash board and the period-correct 307 Cubic Inch V8 fires up immediately and runs whisper quiet. These trucks were meant for use and hauling and with a low first gear is ideal for towing and also will cruise along all day at highway speed. The original bench seat has been replaced with a more modern GM seat with new upholstery and seat belts. In addition the truck was painted a few years back but is high quality and looks fantastic. The window rubber was recently replaced as well and a Lund sun visor was installed. This truck originally came equipped with a wood truck bed that has now been replaced with pressure-treated wood. From top to bottom this is a very well-built and clean truck that is very hard to find and adding that it still has under 37,000 original miles makes this a rare bow-tied workhorse indeed. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
