Chevrolet Camaro 1967

General description : When you work somewhere as cool as this place, it's tough not to lose that staring, 'kid in a candy store' innocence that used to come out at every car show. Thankfully, offerings like this killer F1 Camaro roll through the doors and continually revitalize your love of brash American muscle. With its 572 cubic inch Chevrolet Performance big block, full TCI suspension and tough Tremec 5-speed, this stunning drop-top is the literal embodiment of 'show stopping pro-tourer'. The car's custom green and black aesthetics are simply resplendent. And, if you're looking for some sizzling Detroit metal that can turn heads from here to California, it's just the fashion you've been craving!
CLASSIC SYNERGY
The beneficiary of a deatiled, ground-up build that spared absolutely no expense, this slick Chevy is the product of A LOT of time spent sweating details. A series of solid body panels displays excellent fit and world-class finish. Vivid Synergy Green two-stage seals dynamic flake in a glossy, wet-look shine. And the result is one very well done pavement scorcher that'll drop jaws and turn heads wherever it roams.
When it comes to purity of form, we can't really think of a better-looking classic than the first-generation Camaro. It's a simple and straightforward design that continues to age exceptionally well, especially in the company of its extroverted and exaggerated competitors. At the front of this super cool strip cruiser, a billet Rally Sport grille hangs Detroit Speed Rally Sport headlights and custom Marquez Design Rally Sport badging above a mirrored bumper and traditional Rally Sport parking lamps. At the top of that grille, a shaved header leads the eye to a massive Cowl Induction Hood that's branded with custom '572' lettering. At the sides of that bonnet, Rally Sport rocker guards trace ornate fender emblems and factory door handles. Opposite those handles, a polished bowtie mirror reflects tight black cloth, which caps fresh glass, bright wipers and straight frames that, like most of this Chevy's trim, were professionally worked by the folks at SpaceCoast Plating. Behind that roof, a custom Chevrolet trunk script looks great above a Marquez Design fuel filler and Marquez Design taillights. And those lamps illuminate a second mirrored bumper and a custom rear valance that's boxed around polished exhaust tips.
620 HORSEPOWER
When you want to make a statement with a hopped up muscle car, installing one of GM's many fantastic LS motors is always a great start. But the builder of this ultimate Camaro wanted ultimate bragging rights, so he stuffed 572 cubic inches of glorious Chevrolet Performance big block between a carefully smoothed firewall and fully polished fenders! Dubbed Chevrolet's 'baddest big block engine', that body-matched ZZ572 kicks off with a polished air cleaner that's married to a coated Demon 4-barrel. That carb, wired to polished lines, a polished Holley regulator and a liquid-filled pressure gauge, feeds a polished intake. Aluminum, rectangular-port heads hide stainless valves and lucid roller rockers under polished breathers, a polished cap, polished ties and color-keyed Chevrolet valve covers. Those heads work well with a GM roller cam, which is sequenced to a forged steel crank, forged and shot-peened rods and forged aluminum pistons. Spark is provided by a reliable HEI distributor, which fires loomed Taylor Spiro Pro plug wires. Spent gases roll through coated Doug's tubes. At the front of those headers, flashy Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine components spin a polished Edelbrock water pump between a polished alternator, polished power steering and a polished AC compressor. That pump feeds a polished Performance Rod & Custom radiator that's outfitted with a polished tank, a corrugated top hose and spry puller fans. And everything, from this Chevy's polished closeout and chromed hood supports to its polished dipsticks and billet brace bars, is clean, pristine and ready to show!
POISE, (MORE) POLISH AND PAINT
Pose this panther on a lift and you'll find solid, over-restored floors that provide a stellar backdrop for some of the best aftermarket hardware on the market. A tough hydraulic clutch kicks a tough Tremec 5-speed, which twists power to a 9-inch axle that's finished with big, 4.11 gears. Beneath that drivetrain, a reimagined suspension employs power rack-and-pinion steering and a TCI Pro Touring IFS in front of polished connectors and a TCI Torque Arm Rear Suspension. A proven Wilwood master cylinder cinches polished Wilwood calipers around a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Charred dinosaurs float into rowdy mufflers that, like the car's pipes, are fully polished. A polished fuel tank makes excellent use of an electronic Holley pump and a polished Edelbrock filter. And torque transitions to pavement through Billet Specialties Rat Tails, which wear 235/40ZR18 Nitto Neo Gens in front of 255/30R22 Nitto Invos.
EVERYTHING AND MORE
Swing the doors and you'll find a heavily customized interior that wraps classic style in cool comfort and modern convenience. Jet Black leather seats appear to have seen very minimal use. In front of those perches, a custom dash frames clean Auto Meter American Muscle telemetry next to Vintage Air climate control. At the base of that dash, a custom, full-length console centers a traditional Hurst shifter between switches for the car's power windows and modern Sony audio. Custom side panels and premium carpet join upgraded foot pedals and Marquez Design jamb hardware to add both form and function. In front of the driver, a Billet Specialties Rat Tail steering wheel spins a half-wrapped rim around a polished and tilting column. And behind the passengers, a custom-upholstered trunk frames massive MTX Audio subwoofers.
In summary, this spectacular Chevy represents first class automotive Americana at its very finest, combining stunning design with purposeful restoration and superb performance. Put it on a pedestal and stare at it… Take it to the local cruise… Hit the next round of Super Chevy shows… Whatever you elect to do with this cool Camaro, it's sure to be the centerpiece of your collection, the focal point of your garage, and, most importantly, the car you most look forward to being seen in!
