Chevrolet Camaro 1969

General description : Chevrolet Camaros are some of the most recognized and beloved collector cars of all time. Their clean lines, tasteful trim and excellent proportions make for handsome classics with TONS of customizing potential. Not surprisingly, a wide array of these trademark Chevys populate shows around the country, and their builds range from correct, concours quality restorations all the way to wild creations which exceed the performance of some of today's fiercest muscle. Somewhere between perfected trailer queens and temperamental custom machines, you'll find cars like this sweet F1. Wrapping vivid yellow two-stage around a modern drivetrain and a roster of choice upgrades, this hot resto-mod is an exceptional cruiser that's ready for years of show and miles of go!
IT'S ALL ABOUT STYLE
Buff, bad and ready to rock and roll, this clean coupe is the beneficiary of a detailed, frame-off restoration that was completed to very high standards. That choice reboot dressed solid sheetmetal in a vivid coat of glossy yellow two-stage. And presently, this classic rolls as one high quality head turner that sets the standard for any pony car that dare show its face at the same cruise night!
The overall look of this F1 is beyond factory fresh. And thanks to an astute attention to detail, the car has the kind of killer eyeball appeal that makes casual by-standers stop and take notice. At the front of its body, a stylish Rally Sport grille hangs a crisp 'Z/28' badge above clear parking lamps, a restoration-fresh bumper and a requisite D80 spoiler. Above that grille, a familiar Camaro header leads a familiar Cowl Induction Hood. Behind that scoop, like-new glass is cleared by polished wipers, topped with fresh drip rails and trimmed in polished frames. A sculpted profile floats standard rocker trim beneath factory mirrors, factory door handles, factory 'Camaro' scripts and colorful 'Z/28' emblems that perfectly complement optional quarter louvers. And at the back of the car, a Camaro-branded decklid hangs a second D80 spoiler over a guarded bumper, a fourth 'Z/28' emblem and familiar Rally Sport taillights.
LEGACY OF PERFORMANCE Enact this Chevy's billet Eddie Motorsports hood supports and you'll find 6.2 liters of hot LS3 small block that makes well over 400 horsepower! GM Powertrain invested a great deal of time and research into getting the most out of its Gen IV small block, and it definitely shows. Changes started with a 20% stronger casting, featuring an increased bore of 103.25mm. Focus was then shifted to flow efficiency, resulting in the use of rectangle-port heads and an all-new intake manifold. Factor in a new piston design, and injectors borrowed from the brutal LS7, and you get a very potent track weapon that happily doubles as an everyday commuter. At the front of the block, a remote filter element feeds a simple air tube, which feeds a factory throttle body. At the sides of that jet, predictable AC Delco plug wires split factory exhaust manifolds. Polished serpentine components spin a polished alternator opposite a polished A/C compressor. A beefy aluminum radiator swirls coolant around a big puller fan and a polished bowtie cap. And details like billet brace bars, a Right Stuff brake proportioning valve and a color-keyed engine shroud provide an excellent mix of form and function!
BADDER AND BETTER
Under the car, clean, Satin Black floors shade a massaged chassis that's been thoughtfully upgraded with tubular control arms, an aftermarket sway bar and KYB Gas-A-Just shocks. The trusty LS motor powers a dressed 4L60E 4-speed, which spins torque through a familiar 12-bolt axle. Easy turns are funneled through power-assisted steering. Black calipers use modern power assist to squeeze a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Aluminized exhaust floats spent gases through throaty MagnaFlow mufflers and polished stainless tips. And all that premium hardware rolls on handsome Foose Knuckles, which spin 245/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagles in front of 275/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagles.
DELUXE HOUNDSTOOTH
Open this F1's solid doors and you'll find a Deluxe Black Houndstooth interior that's, well, to put it bluntly, much cooler than anything found in modern cars. That handsome cockpit is centered on fresh bucket seats that are paired with factory headrests and modern, three-point belts. At the front of those thrones, a monochromatic dash hangs modern telemetry next to modern climate control and a Delco AM/FM radio. Deluxe door panels cage fade-free carpet around a factory console that's finished with modern accessory gauges and a traditional Horseshoe Shifter. And the driver turns an attractive Chevrolet Rally Wheel around a tilting column.
From the local show to the local strip, this fantastic Chevy will impress fans and critics alike. It's a highly desirable classic that's been tweaked with all the right stuff to be a fun, head-turning cruiser. Shopping for some super cool metal that you can enjoy day in and day out? Your search is officially over!
