Chevrolet Chevelle 396 L34 V8 1968

General description : TRUE SS, 396 L34 V8, TH350 AUTO, NICE COLOR COMBO, AFFORDABLE & DESIRABLE, NICE!

A 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle that's a real-deal SS396 and still has its original big block V8 under the hood is a wonderful thing. So this is the complete hardtop with the exact pedigree you want.
With a hint of front overhang and crisp rear panels that reached out on both sides, the '68 Chevelle really wanted to own the road. So we already love the unique design even before acknowledging the supremacy of a Super Sport. When looking for a real-deal SS396, you're probably the kind of person who makes sure the details are right. That's why this one retains the correct grille (with blackouts that wraps around the corners,) dual power bulge hood, proper SS396 marker lights, full badging, and blacked out rear panel. The green is a great 60s-style color. And the paint code will tell you this is an original black vinyl roof car. So it's nice to see it still has that distinction today, but now with the durability of satin black paint.
All the black exterior accents are a nice coordinating piece for the full black interior. These might have been intermediate-sized cars in the '60s, but today that means plenty of room for family and friends to spread across both rows of wide benches. Of course, this hardtop is great for solo cruising, too. The fold-down armrest gives you an individual level of comfort, and the factory three-spoke steering wheel has a flat-top design to give you a clear view of the gauges.
This SS396 has its numbers-matching 396 cubic-inch big block V8 still under the hood. We love the way this one looks with its Chevy orange, bright valve covers, and racing flags air topper radiating a powerful message from within the dark engine bay. The V8 inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor, and that allows the dual exhaust to exhale with a rumbling authority. But more than just pure power, you're going to spot plenty of the right investments, including newer hoses, lines, and alternator. Plus, with power steering and a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, this powerful classic is also an easy cruiser.
Numbers-matching motors make for the upper echelon in the muscle car world, so you already know how special this SS396 is. Don't let it slip away, call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
