Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Clone 396 V8 1967

General description : Description
Great colors, great detail, and a great deal of power for the upgraded big block make this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 tribute the powerful hardtop with a great amount of appeal.
Butternut Yellow is a great factory color on a Chevelle like this. It seems to represent its era correctly in a bright and distinct way. Plus, it makes for a nice contrasting backdrop to the Super Sport upgrades, like the dark grille and blackout rear. There's even a black tape stripe running the full length of this car. The Super Sport badging, hood vent trim, and pillarelss hardtop profile are all part of that ideal muscle car look. Bright chrome bumpers and upgraded Rally wheels add plenty of shining charm, but there's nothing too overdone so that you're afraid to enjoy a big block Chevelle like this out on the open asphalt.
For the same reason why we like the black accenting against the yellow exterior is why we love the factory-correct full black interior. And not only does this have the ideal color combo, but also you can tell they made some solid investments in keeping it fresh. The carpet, headliner, and the dash all look newer, and the details are nice. The seats have a good feeling with insignia trim, and the taut door panels are done to match. It feels like a true classic coupe experience, right down to the AM/FM radio and the 1967-correct side tach with integrated turn signal.
The engine bay is filled with tidy big block power. This may be an SS396 tribute, but the motor decodes to a true era-correct Chevelle 396 cubic-inch V8 block. It's attractively dressed with a bold orange block, chrome valve covers, and 396 air grabber. In fact, the whole setup is ready to be shown off thanks to everything from smooth inner walls to a newer brake booster. The V8 inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor with Edelbrock Performer intake. It fires up readily while making a terrific big block sound out of the dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The three-speed automatic transmission has a stall converter to keep you in the ideal powerband, and that feeds a 10-bolt rear end. Plus, features like power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front, and wide BF Goodrich T/As make for an all-around driving classic.
Big block hardtop Chevelles are always in-demand, so you know you need to get your hands on this well-presented true classic. Call now!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
