Chevrolet Chevelle SS 1969

General description : Description
A 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS in a mean/slick black and a big block under the hood is truly an ideal muscle car. So when you can find one that has been upgraded for added power and stance, it makes for a turn-key intimidation machine.
We can best describe this styling as sharp. The well-done body panels have sharp creases. The extra overhang of the '69 coupe sharply pierces through traffic. And the black paint is as sharp-looking as a tuxedo. It makes for quite an attractive hardtop. Plus, there are nice details, like the newer chrome bumpers. Of course, the big draw is the extra added aggressiveness of the Super Sport upgrades. The blacked-out grille, dual power bulges in the hood, SS badging, wide dual exhaust tips, and full-length sport stripe all are part of what make this a legend. They even added American Racing Torq Thrust wheels in a modern and aggressive 18/20 inch front/rear stagger for an awesome stance.
The blackout look continues inside with the seats, door panels, and headliner all with a deep/dark appearance that you want in a muscle car. Even the dash pad is newer. It makes for a nice place to share with family and friends, especially with the good room this coupe offers. But the big focus is always on the driver. That's why you have the high-back bucket seats up front, a center console in-between, the iconic horseshoe shifter, Chevy's sports steering wheel, and round gauges with a full readout trio installed under the dash.
Under the hood, the smooth black inner walls funnel your attention to the big block motor. The callouts on the air topper says 396, but this is a LARGER 454 cubic inch V8. And the polished components such as valve covers always look good in a classic. More than just stylish, this V8 has the right upgrades, like a Holley double pumper four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and a Mallory ignition. Long tube headers add even more power before feeding the dual exhaust. And those Flowmasters at the end really help give this a terrific growl. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is both stout and smooth. It feeds a 12-bolt rear end with reinforced trailing arms. Plus, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and grippy ZR-rated tires make this a solid all-around driver.
This is the awesome Chevelle hardtop with big block power and a sharply dark attitude that you know you can't resist. Call now!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
