The next amazing classic muscle car in our Benicia showroom is this stunning 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 2 Door Hardtop with custom Burnt Orange exterior paint and a tan interior with bench seating. You’ll find a 350 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a mild cam, a 4bbl carburetor, headers, a dual exhaust and column-shift automatic transmission. You’ll also find that it’s nicely equipped with a trunk-mounted CD player, power steering, power front disc brakes, nice aftermarket wheels and so much more.
This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Hardtop is believed to be a true survivor and it is extremely impressive in person.
A Genuine Survivor with Outstanding Curb Appeal
The current owner of this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Hardtop informs us that this example recently received fresh paint and new wheels to accentuate the amazing body lines, but otherwise he believes this to be a genuine survivor that’s never been fully restored. We do not have documentation to certify this statement ,and we do not know if the 350 V-8 is original. We do have receipts showing that it received new ball joints and front end bushings in 2008, and that the transmission was rebuilt in 2013. We can tell you that much of the engine bay appears to be original as does the entire interior and undercarriage. This muscle car is absolutely gorgeous in person and a true pleasure to drive.
Additionally, this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Hardtop offers excellent performance with very nice acceleration, handling and braking power. It drives great on the open road with a nice stance and plenty of power/torque throughout the gears. The engine in particular sounds excellent through the dual exhaust with a satisfying growl that every collector knows well.
