Description : Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this Glacier Blue 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle for sale. This 2nd generation big block Chevelle is powered by Chevrolet's 454 CID V8, one of Chevy's most feared muscle car big blocks "back in the day", but this one is backed by a highway-friendly 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, rather than a TH400 3-speed auto. This '69 is dressed up with chromed valve covers and air cleaner housing, and it's enhanced with HEI ignition, and topped by a 4BBL carb and aluminum intake to improve overall breathing. It exhales through a set of Hooker headers that feed into a custom dual exhaust. All that power gets to the ground via its 12-bolt rear end. A front disc/rear drum brake system provides for smooth, sure stopping, and its new Falken performance radials (size P235/60R16) are so new that they still have the mold sprue on them. The sticky Falkens are mounted on American Racing "Torq Thrust" aluminum mags, which look great on this car. Inside, the blue bucket seat interior's synthetic leather seating is in very good shape, as is the blue carpet. A Summit Racing 3-gauge cluster sits above and ahead of the console-mounted "Horseshoe" shifter, helping keep the driver informed of critical engine readouts. This big block Chevelle makes no excuses and puts on no pretenses of being anything other than what it looks like: a vintage big block muscle car that's ready to rock and roll. Additional features on this '69 Chevelle include Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Seating.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
